Aamir Khan was born into a Shia Muslim family that has been actively involved in the Indian film-industry. His father Tahir Hussain is a producer; his uncle Nasir Hussain was a director. He has acted in a few films directed by his cousin Mansoor Khan. His brother Faisal Khan is an actor. Aamir began his career as a child actor in the films Yaadon Ki Baraat (1973). His first film as hero is Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak(1988) which was a huge success and launched his career.Aamir acts in all genres of Indian films - comedy, action, drama and romance. Though he performs in few films, Aamir Khan is acknowleged today as the most complete Indian actor for his diverse choice of roles and films.
